Very interesting: hoe vervang ik ‘very’?

Een goede Engelse woordenschat kan bijdragen aan professionaliteit. Betrap jij jezelf wel eens op overmatig gebruik van het woordje ‘very’? Dat is niet erg, maar het kan wat vaag overkomen. In dit artikel vind je een korte lijst met woorden die je kunt gebruiken in plaats van telkens ‘very’ te gebruiken.

Very gebruik je om nadruk te leggen op het woord dat volgt. Het is eigenlijk hetzelfde als in het Nederlands wanneer je bijvoorbeeld ‘uitgeput’ gebruikt in plaats van ‘supermoe’. Het maakt niet per se uit voor de betekenis van de zin, maar het klinkt wel mooi, toch? In onderstaande lijst vind je woorden die je kunt gebruiken om bijvoorbeeld je eigen gevoel of jezelf te omschrijven, maar ze zijn ook erg goed (of uitstekend) te gebruiken op de werkvloer bij het beschrijven van situaties.
